My Story

I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2004, where I majored in Political Science and served as a member of the Carolina Judicial Council.  After graduating, I worked at a local law firm that focused on elder law, estate and special needs planning, probate and trust administration, and family law.  While working there, I realized the importance of planning for the future and the impact on the family when failing to do so. I continued to work at the law firm until I began law school in 2011.

After law school, I served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Amy W. McCulloch and Associate Judge Jacqueline D. Belton, where I gained experience in probate litigation matters involving estate and trust administration and guardianship and conservatorship.

Following my judicial clerkship, I began working at Arthur State Bank as an Assistant Vice President and Trust Officer.  I was primarily responsible for trust and estate administration services for bank customers.  I bring unique experience to my practice as a former Trust Officer as I interacted with beneficiaries on a day-to-day basis and ensured that the terms of the trust documents were carried out properly.  As a result, I understand the importance of properly drafting estate planning documents so the clients’ goals and objectives can be accomplished at their passing.

I began private practice with The Brooker Law Firm, P.A. where I focused on estate and trust administration, estate and special needs planning, and guardianship and conservatorship matters.

I am a member of First Northeast Baptist Church where my wife, Mee Na, and I serve as the marriage ministry leaders.  In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with his wife, watching football especially the Dallas Cowboys and the Carolina Gamecocks, mountain biking and hiking.
